PARTICIPANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR IN PERSON MEETING
The Oklahoma County Criminal Justice Advisory Council will be meeting IN PERSON on Feb. 17, 2022 at
3:00 p.m. The Council encourages participation in the public meeting from the residents of Oklahoma County.
Participants who wish to speak on items on the agenda will need to sign up to speak using the Oklahoma
County Criminal Justice Advisory Council form available on the registration table. Citizens will be limited to
2 minutes to speak to Council. Public Comment is open on Agenda Items 4, 7, and 9.
Citizens may address the Council but all comments must be relevant to the item. Citizens may also address
the Council on individual concerns at the end of the agenda when the Chairperson announces "Citizen
Participation." Citizens’ Participation is not provided as a general forum and is not a forum for
support/opposition of publicly announced or declared candidates for public office/issues, as such, they will not
be allowed to be discussed under Citizens Participation. Citizens will not be allowed to campaign on any
political issue during the Council meeting. Comments must strictly concern specific Council actions or
policies. PLEASE LIMIT YOUR COMMENTS TO 2 MINUTES.
Special Considerations for Attendance at NorthCare:
Because NorthCare is a private facility and not a public building, all attendees agree to abide by the rules of
decorum befitting a private entity and community service provider, including that all attendees should conduct
themselves “in a dignified and orderly manner…” in accordance with all Facility Rules and Regulations.
Council Actions
Official action can be taken only on items which appear on the agenda. The Council may adopt, approve,
ratify, deny, defer, recommend, amend, strike, or continue any agenda item.
When more information is needed to act on an item, the Council may refer the matter to Staff. The Council
may also refer items to standing committees of the Council for additional study.
Under certain circumstances, items are deferred to a specific later date or stricken from the agenda entirely.
