PRESENTATION/RECOGNITION OF ATTENDEES Lt. Koeneman and FF Carnes requested more funding for the Explorer program. They advised that they need approximately $600 to insure the program this year, approximately $400 for extra uniforms, and $1000 for emergencies. III. MINUTES APPROVAL 1. COOK COUNTY STATEMENT OF ECONOMIC INTEREST President Abbinanti reminded anyone that received an email from Cook County to complete the forms. B. STATIONS 82 & 85 STOVE Approved a request from Jake Pepe to purchase a commercial stove for both station 82 and station 85. Not to exceed $15,000. C. ALL STATIONS - NEW BEDS After speaking with BC Zimmerman regarding the purchase of mattresses, this item was tabled. D. ALL STATIONS - ENTERTAINMENT A request to purchase a dart board, cards games, board games and other entertainment was approved up to $1500. E. ALL STATIONS - HOUSE FUND EXPENSES A request to use foreign fire tax money to pay for house fund expenses up to $15,000 per year. This item was tabled until further research can be conducted regarding legality. F. ALL STATIONS - KITCHEN SUPPLIES A request for $10,000 to purchase all new kitchen supplies for each station was submitted. The board approved to supplement FF Roman's kitchen budget by VILLAGE OF PALATINE Page 2 Minutes March 19, 2025 $2000 this year and then will consider adding future money to supplement the kitchen budget in the 3rd quarter when the board discusses standing orders. G. FITNESS EQUIPMENT Titan Lat Tower for station 84- $2100 Roman chair back extension- $275 approved not to exceed $2400. Rogue dip belt for station 83- $75 and chalk blocks- $131, will be purchased under the Fitness standing order. H. FIRE EXPLORER POST OPERATIONAL COSTS $2000 was approved for he explorer program following the above presentation with Lt. Koeneman and FF Carnes. I. ALL STATIONS - FOIL & WRAP HOLDERS 2 large holders for plastic wrap and foil for each station were approved not to exceed $500. J. TRT - ROPE RESCUE SAFETY & ASCENDING EQUIPMENT ASAP locks and Handle ascenders were tabled. K. TRT - COLD WEATHER EQUIPMENT MABAS division 1 hoodies were approved for the TRT team not to exceed $1500. VII. ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 09:45.
