PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES DECEMBER 19, 2022 AT 1:30 P.M. CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS 111 SOUTH CAPITOL STREET PEKIN, ILLINOIS 61554 CALL TO ORDER Chairman Nutter called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. PLEDGE Committee Member Orrick led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance. ROLL CALL Present: Chairman David Nutter and Committee Member Becky Cloyd and Committee Member Lloyd Orrick were present for roll call. ALSO PRESENT: City Engineer Josie Esker, Public Property Manager Dean Schneider and Scott Hobart with Maurer Stutz. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion made by Committee Member Cloyd to approve the December 19, 2022 Regular Meeting Agenda, seconded by Committee Member Orrick. Motion carried by voice vote. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion made by Committee Member Orrick to approve the Minutes dated November 7, 2022 as written, seconded by Committee Member Cloyd. Motion carried by voice vote. NEW BUSINESS 1. Downtown Parking Discussion City Engineer Josie Esker spoke regarding each parking lot. The Committee express interest in waiting for the Union Mission to make a decision before making any decisions on the lot. There was consensus of the Committee to put the 200 Block on hold. Committee Member Cloyd expresssed interest in lighting the 300 block better and to look into getting safety buttons that would call the police. There was a consensus to do ________ at Fast Dragon. Liz Waldschmidt with the Dance Academy requested more parking. It was suggested to have code enforcement look behind Ashers Bar & Grill and to get a landscaping architect on board. It was also recommended to look into the cost of electric charging stations. ANY OTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE SUB COMMITTEE ADJOURNMENT No other business to come before the Committee, motion by Committee Member Orrick, seconded by Committee Member Cloyd to adjourn.
