City of Philadelphia Recessed Hearing Notice The Committee on Housing, Neighborhood Development and The Homeless of the Council of the City of Philadelphia held a Public Hearing on Friday, May 29, 2020, and recessed the public hearing until Friday, June 5, 2020 at 9:30 AM, in a remote manner using Microsoft® Teams. This remote hearing may be viewed on Xfinity Channel 64, Fios Channel 40 or http://phlcouncil.com/watch city council/, and it has been continued to hear further testimony on the following: 200294 An Ordinance amending various sections of The Philadelphia Code to address matters related to the landlord and tenant relationship during the novel coronavirus of 2019 pandemic and otherwise, including providing for an eviction diversion program, and making certain technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions. 200295 An Ordinance amending various sections of The Philadelphia Code to address matters related to the landlord and tenant relationship during the novel coronavirus of 2019 pandemic and otherwise, including providing for temporary eviction relief, and making certain technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions. 200301 An Ordinance amending various sections of The Philadelphia Code to address matters related to the landlord and tenant relationship during the novel coronavirus of 2019 pandemic and otherwise, including providing for temporary rent stabilization, and making certain technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions. 200302 An Ordinance amending various sections of The Philadelphia Code to address matters related to the landlord and tenant relationship during the novel coronavirus of 2019 pandemic and otherwise, including providing for the temporary waiver of certain fees, and making certain technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions. 200304 An Ordinance amending various sections of The Philadelphia Code to address matters related to the landlord and tenant relationship during the Coronavirus of 2019 pandemic and otherwise, including providing for relief to tenants who have been illegally locked out of their residences and making certain technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions. 200305 An Ordinance amending various sections of The Philadelphia Code to address matters related to the landlord and tenant relationship during the novel coronavirus of 2019 pandemic and otherwise, including providing for payment agreements for tenants with a certified financial hardship related to COVID-19, and making certain technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions. Speakers who submitted the above information within the required time frame will be telephoned during the public hearing and invited to the remote hearing. They will be given additional instructions by the Committee Chair once they are connected. Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Housing, Neighborhood Development and The Homeless, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
