PROCLAMATIONS 2014-1045 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh supports hiring of people with disabilities and advocates for increased representation of people with disabilities in the City workforce; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh recognizes and supports Executive Order # 13548 Increasing Federal Employment of Individuals with Disabilities, in compliance with Executive Order # 13163, for setting an example, and aspires to be a similar leader in the local disability community. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh shall create a task force to research and ultimately make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council to ameliorate employment practices within the City of Pittsburgh to achieve openness and inclusiveness in the workplace.
