Pittsburgh does hereby commend the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame of Western
Pennsylvania for its efforts to promote and recognize Jewish athletes, past and
present; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does
hereby declare Sunday, May 17, 2015, to be “JEWISH SPORTS HALL OF
FAME DAY” in the City of Pittsburgh.

hereby declare May 18th, 2015, “City Theatre Company Day” in the City of

Pittsburgh hereby recognizes and honors the Pittsburgh Plumbers Local 27 for their
important role in the fight for a living wage, and a safe work environment over the
course of their 125-year history; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does
hereby declare Saturday, May 16, 2015, to be “Pittsburgh Plumbers Local 27
Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

2015-1635 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Pittsburgh
supports a strong judiciary, and calls on Pennsylvania Senator Toomey to return the
blue slip on Judge Restrepo immediately, ask Senator Grassley to schedule his hearing
in order to fill the emergency judicial vacancy on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals,
and work to ensure a speedy confirmation before July 1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Will of Council shall be sent to
U.S. Senator Patrick S. Toomey.

hereby honor and commend the Brashear Gay-Straight Alliance for all they do
for the betterment of all of the City of Pittsburgh.
