PROCLAMATIONS 2015-2110 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and celebrate the role that our LGBT residents have have played in enriching the culture and history of the City of Pittsburgh, and does hereby declare the month of October, 2015 to be LGBT History Month in the City of Pittsburgh. The motion carried. 2015-2111 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend STANDING FIRM for its commitment to addressing the issues of partner violence in the workplace and along with a large network of domestic violence service providers in the region to spreading awareness of the devastating effects of domestic violence . The Council congratulates STANDING FIRM on its 2015 Awards Luncheon and its choice of deserving awardees; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare October 2015, to be “DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARNESS MONTH” in the City of Pittsburgh.
