2015-2167 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend The Federation of War Veterans'
Societies of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania - City of Pittsburgh for
organizing this important event and encourages all residents of our City to join in this
commendation by attending the 2015 Pittsburgh Veterans’ Day Parade; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, November 7th, 2015, to be
“Veterans’ Parade Day “ in the City of Pittsburgh.

platform for young people in historic preservation; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does
hereby declare Tuesday, October 27th, 2015 to be “Young Preservationists
Association of Pittsburgh Day” in the City of Pittsburgh

agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation,
Division of Highway Safety, Police Traffic Services Grant (Federal Fiscal Year
2016), for the purpose of receiving grant funds in the amount of one hundred ninety
thousand dollars ($190,000.00) that will be used for Driving Under the Influence
enforcement and outreach activities.

2015-2152 Report of the Committee on Land Use and Economic Development for October 21,
2015 with an Affirmative Recommendation.

2015-1731 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of City Planning to execute relevant
agreements to receive grant funding to produce a safety video in support of a Bicycle
and Pedestrian Marketing Program in the City and further providing for an agreement
and expenditures not to exceed one hundred thousand ($100,000.00) dollars for this
stated purpose. The City’s Bike Pittsburgh’s funding share of this grant agreement
or agreements is in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) and shall
be payable from the 2013 Bicycle and Transportation Planning bond account. The
State Government’s (PennDOT) share of this grant agreement or agreements is
seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000.00) and shall be deposited into the City’s
Grants Trust Fund.
