2016-0774 NOW, THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the remarkable accomplishments of Dr. Freddie Fu
as one of the world’s foremost experts in sports medicine and as a committed
Pittsburgh resident and philanthropist; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does
hereby declare Tuesday, September 13th to be “Dr. Freddie Fu Day” in the City of
Pittsburgh.

2016-0768 Resolution to amend Resolution No. 281 of 2016, “Resolution authorizing the Mayor

Agreement with MAYA Design for graphic design, branding, and application support
for the City's Smart City Challenge grant for a sum not to exceed Twenty Five
Thousand and Five Hundred Dollars ($25,500.00) and for the payment of the costs
thereof,” by increasing compensation by Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00).

2016-0769 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Office of Management and
Budget to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding from Living Cities to
complete a condition assessment of all the steps owned and maintained by the City
(over 800 segments) and further providing for an agreement and expenditures not to
exceed One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose.

2016-0770 Resolution authorizing the Mayor, Director of the Office of Management and Budget
and the City Controller’s Office to enter into a Contract or Agreement with Bank of
America Merrill Lynch to provide Purchasing Cards and ePayables Cards. Said
agreement will be at no cost to the City.

2016-0771 Resolution appointing Linda M. Johnson-Wasler, 831 N. St. Clair Street, 15206, as
a Commissioner of the Civil Service Commission of the City of Pittsburgh for a term
to expire on December 31, 2017. Ms. Johnson-Wasler will fill the seat vacated by
Stephen MacIsaac.
A motion was made that this matter be Approved. The motion carried.
2016-0772 Resolution appointing Luca M. Giorgi, 124 North Homewood Avenue, 15208, as a
Commissioner of the Civil Service Commission of the City of Pittsburgh for a term to
expire on December 31, 2017. Mr. Giorgi will fill the seat vacated by Joseph J.
Kennedy IV.
Councilwoman Harris Abstained.
A motion was made that this matter be Approved. The motion carried.
2016-0773 Resolution appointing Demeshia Seals, 915 Penn Avenue, Apt. 314, Pittsburgh PA
15222, as a Commissioner of the Equal Opportunity Review Commission of the City
of Pittsburgh for a term to expire on May 31, 2020. Ms. Seals will fill the seat
vacated by Akiesha R. Gilcrist.

2016-0664 Ordinance amending the City Code at Title One: Administrative, Article III:
Organization, Chapter 111: Departments Generally, so as to update the code to
reflect current practices and processes.

2016-0722 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance to
enter into an agreement with MuniServices to purchase a subscription service for
taxpayer location services as well as training for Finance staff to improve their
methods for taxpayer discovery and collection service. Total cost will be a one-time
payment not to exceed Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000) plus a 32.4%
contingency fee of all revenue that MuniServices individually brings in to the City that
tax year. This contingency fee is a one-time finder’s fee for each new account and
will not be applied to following years.

system) tracking and accounting of escrow monies for property sales.

E. Carson Street from a City PW dump truck backing into it and for lost fuel sales

2015.

service. Total cost will be a one-time payment not to exceed Seventy Thousand
Dollars ($70,000) plus a 32.4% contingency fee of all revenue that
MuniServices individually brings in to the City that tax year. This contingency
fee is a one-time finder’s fee for each new account and will not be applied to
following years.
