Pittsburgh does hereby celebrate the profound impact of Dr. John M. Wilds’ career
at the University of Pittsburgh and wishes him the best in his retirement; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does
hereby declare Thursday, January 3, 2019 to be “Dr. John M. Wilds Day” in the
City of Pittsburgh.

stores and restaurants and calls on businesses to offer sustainable alternatives to single
use plastic.
