LAVELLE, CHAIR DEFERRED PAPERS 2014-1020 Ordinance amending and Supplementing the Pittsburgh City Code, Title VII Business Licensing, by adding Article X Rental of Residential Housing, Chapter 781 Residential Housing Rental Permit Program to provide for the registration of rental housing located within the City of Pittsburgh and to provide penalties for violation. A motion was made that this matter be Held in Committee to the Committee on Public Safety Services, due back by 4/29/2015. The motion carried 2015-1469 Ordinance supplementing the Pittsburgh Code, Title 10-Building Code-to require safety and security training for security officer and other building service employees, to require adequate staffing over buildings to ensure the safety and security of occupants and property, to require security businesses to meet certain professional standards and obtain a business license from the City, and to amend the procurement code to require compliance with these new training and licensing provisions. KAIL-SMITH, CHAIR SUPPLEMENTAL 2015-1495 Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh to grant to Duquesne Light Company a permanent easement for the installation, use, operation, maintenance, repair, renewal and the removal of an underground electrical transmission line under and through the City’s property described as Parcel ID No. 11-K-340, located between Swineburne Street and Brady Street along Second Avenue in the 2nd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, and constituting a portion of the Eliza Furnace Trail. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried NEW PAPERS 2015-1506 Resolution vacating a portion of Old Browns Hill Road in the 14th Ward, 5th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE, REV. BURGESS, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2015-1502 Resolution providing that the City of Pittsburgh enter into a Professional Services Agreement(s) and/or Contracts with Highmark, Inc. for professional services in connection with the administration of the City of Pittsburgh’s Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care Account program, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof. Cost not to exceed $19,999.50. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. Cost not to exceed $550,000.00. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried LAND USE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, MS. GROSS, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2015-1504 Resolution amending Resolution No. 713 approved November 3, 2014, providing for the implementation of a Residential Parking Permit Program (RPPP) Area “HH”, in the Central Northside Community (Council District #1) to expand the district to include additional addresses pursuant to Pittsburgh Code Chapter 549. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2015-1505 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to enter into a Grant Agreement with the Commonwealth, Department of Community and Economic Development to receive funding in the amount of One Million, Five Hundred and Ninety Thousand Dollars ($1,590,000.00) to be used for the design and construction of the new Frick Environmental Center and further authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to enter into a Cooperation Agreement with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to permit it to use these grant fund for this purpose.
