LAVELLE, CHAIR DEFERRED PAPERS 2015-1469 Ordinance supplementing the Pittsburgh Code, Title 10-Building Code-to require safety and security training for security officer and other building service employees, to require adequate staffing over buildings to ensure the safety and security of occupants and property, to require security businesses to meet certain professional standards and obtain a business license from the City, and to amend the procurement code to require compliance with these new training and licensing provisions. The motion carried 2015-1529 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into an Agreement with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy to maintain a raised flower bed at the Faith Gallo Memorial Garden located at the Gateway island that is bounded by Stanwix Street, Penn Avenue and Liberty Avenue in the City of Pittsburgh.
