RUDIAK, CHAIR DEFERRED PAPERS NEW PAPERS 2015-1491 Resolution providing for the filing of petitions for the sale of certain properties, acquired at tax sales in accordance with Act No. l7l of l984, “Second Class City Treasurer Sale and Collection Act”, effective December 11, 1984. ITEMS A through H: A: 6824 Fifth, B: 714 N. Homewood, C: 726 Ormsby, D: 5258 Duncan, E: 5224 Duncan, F: 5321 Duncan, G: 5300 Duncan, H: 3807 Penn. A motion was made that this matter be AMENDED. The motion carried A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended as Amended. The motion carried 2015-1596 Resolution amending Resolution 492 of 2014 to authorize an increase in compensation for Campbell, Durrant, Beatty, Palombo, and Miller, P.C. to provide professional legal services and expert advice for collective bargaining and/or interest arbitration. The cost of the increase shall not exceed $60,000, for a total dollar amount of $160,000. A motion was made that this matter be Held in Committee to the Committee on Finance and Law . KAIL-SMITH, CHAIR DEFERRED PAPERS 2014-0915 Ordinance amending the Pittsburgh Code, Title 4 - Public Places and Property, Article I, Public Rights -of -Way, CHAPTER 416: - OBSTRUCTIONS, by adding a new section at 416.05 (a) et seq. requiring no less than a ten (10) day notice of a pending major street obstruction permit to be provided to the City Council; written notice to businesses and or residents within the impacted area; and providing for a waiver of said requirements in the event of an emergency. Sponsors: Mrs. Harris A motion was made that this matter be Held in Committee to the Committee on Public Works , due back by 5/27/2015. The motion carried 2015-1467 Ordinance amending the City Code, Title Four: -Public Places and Property, Article I - Public Rights of Way by adding a new Chapter at 418 - Filming Activities; governing permitting of commercial filming activities in the public rights of way and/or property. Sponsors: Mrs. Harris A motion was made that this matter be Held in Committee to the Committee on Public Works ,due back by 5/27/2015. The motion carried NEW PAPERS 2015-1597 Resolution further amending Resolution No.858, effective, January 1, 2015, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2015 Capital Budget and the 2015 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2015 through 2020 Capital Improvement Program,” by increasing the “Penn Avenue Phase I” line item” by the amount of $252,506.86 (OTHER/FHWA) from $480,000.00 to $732,506.85. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. GROSS, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2015-1593 Resolution amending Resolution 505 of 2013, effective August 5, 2013, to authorize the Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning to amend the City’s existing Cooperation Agreement for Program Administration Assistance with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership for The Market Square Public Art Program by adding City funding to cover certain expenses and to extend the term of the Cooperation Agreement for an additional term of up to three years. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2015-1594 Resolution amending Resolution No. 300 approved May 6, 2014, providing for the implementation of the Residential Parking Permit Program (RPPP) area “R” in the Bloomfield community (Council Districts #7) to remove from the district to exclude addresses pursuant to Pittsburgh Code Chapter 549. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2015-1595 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh to execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Museum and Historical Commission to receive eighteen-thousand dollars ($18,000) in grant funds, and to hire a consultant for the amount not to exceed thirty-six thousand dollars ($36,000).
