LAVELLE, CHAIR DEFERRED PAPERS 2014-1020 Ordinance amending and Supplementing the Pittsburgh City Code, Title VII Business Licensing, by adding Article X Rental of Residential Housing, Chapter 781 Residential Housing Rental Permit Program to provide for the registration of rental housing located within the City of Pittsburgh and to provide penalties for violation. A motion was made that this matter be Held in the Committee on Public Safety Services, due back by 11/4/2015. The motion carried PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE, MRS. KAIL-SMITH, CHAIR DEFERRED PAPERS 2014-0915 Ordinance amending the Pittsburgh Code, Title 4 - Public Places and Property, Article I, Public Rights -of -Way, CHAPTER 416: - OBSTRUCTIONS, by adding a new section at 416.05 (a) et seq. requiring no less than a ten (10) day notice of a pending major street obstruction permit to be provided to the City Council; written notice to businesses and or residents within the impacted area; and providing for a waiver of said requirements in the event of an emergency. The motion carried 2015-1824 Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into an agreement(s) with certain veteran organizations to waive or reduce certain fees per Section 416.02 of the Pittsburgh Code to hang banners approved by the Director of Public Works at specific approved locations in City of Pittsburgh. The motion carried City of Pittsburgh Page 7 Printed on 10/22/2015 Standing Committee Meeting Minutes - Final October 21, 2015 NEW PAPERS 2015-2107 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with PennDOT under which PennDOT will make improvements to and transfer Industrial Boulevard, approximately 1.2 miles of road, to the City, and the City will transfer to PennDOT, three current City street segments, those streets being: 1) Euclid Avenue from Baum Boulevard to Centre Avenue, approximately 350 feet; 2) Centre Avenue from Euclid Avenue to Highland Avenue, approximately 970 feet; and 3) Steuben Street, from point on Steuben Street identification Station point 139+77 to Cross Street, approximately 347 feet. In addition, Provost Road, from Weyman Road to Stewart 2015-1731 A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried LAND USE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, MS. GROSS, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2015-1731 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of City Planning to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding to produce a safety video in support of a Bicycle and Pedestrian Marketing Program in the City and further providing for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed one hundred thousand ($100,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose. The City’s Bike Pittsburgh’s funding share of this grant agreement or agreements is in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) and shall be payable from the 2013 Bicycle and Transportation Planning bond account. The State Government’s (PennDOT) share of this grant agreement or agreements is seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000.00) and shall be deposited into the City’s Grants Trust Fund. HARRIS, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2015-2102 Resolution further amending Resolution 652 of 2010, as amended, entitled “Providing for an Agreement or Agreements and a Lease or Leases by and between the City of Pittsburgh (“City”) and First Vehicle Services (“First Vehicle”), pursuant to which First Vehicle will furnish all work and services needed to manage and maintain the City's Vehicle Fleet," by extending the contract for one (1) year and authorizing funding for said extension period in the amount of Eight Million Six Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand, Three Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($8,694,378).
