RUDIAK, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2016-0012 Resolution authorizing the issuance of a warrant in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($10,000.00), in favor of DeAndre Brown, c/o Joel Sansone, Esq., Three Gateway Center, 401 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1700, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, in Full and Final Settlement of an action filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania filed at 2:14-cv-00506. HELD FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION 2016-0013 Resolution providing for an agreement for payment of the City’s share of the 2016 operating expenses for the Allegheny County Central Tax Collection District for tax collection. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2016-0015 Resolution amending Resolution 631 of 2015 authorizing the Mayor, City Solicitor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Campbell, Durrant, Beatty, Palombo and Miller, P.C. to provide legal services and expert advice related to litigation by increasing the total cost from Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) to One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00). A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2016-0016 Resolution amending Resolution number 796 of 2013, effective January 1, 2014, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2014 Capital Budget and the 2014 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2014 through 2019 Capital Improvement Program” so as to change the fund from ‘OTHER’ to PAYGO for the Choice Neighborhoods project and to transfer the funds needed. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2016-0017 Resolution providing for a Professional Services Agreement(s) and/or Contract(s) with brij for professional consulting services for planning procurement systems and process optimization, and providing for the payment thereof at a cost not to exceed $30,000.00. KAIL-SMITH, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2016-0019 Resolution further amending Resolution No.858, effective, January 1, 2015, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2015 Capital Budget and the 2015 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2015 through 2019 Capital Improvement Program,” by increasing the “Park Reconstruction” line item by $31,957.00 from $900,000.00 to $931,957.00. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2016-0020 Resolution providing for a Contract or Contracts, or the use of existing Contracts, an Agreement or Agreements, or the use of existing Agreements, providing for repairs, maintenance, improvements, emergencies and/or the purchase of materials, equipment and supplies in connection with the installation of Audible Pedestrian & Traffic Signals; and providing for the payment of the costs thereof, not to exceed $595,000.00. HARRIS, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2016-0028 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Bureau of Neighborhood Empowerment to enter into an agreement(s) and or contract(s) with the Neighborhood Learning Alliance West End Employment Center for the purpose of establishing a social services district 2 resource coordinator pilot program, in an amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand ($50,000.00) Dollars, payable from JDE Account No. 102100.53901 SPONSORS: MRS. KAIL-SMITH A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried LAND USE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, MS. GROSS, CHAIR SUPPLEMENTAL - NEW PAPERS City of Pittsburgh Page 3 Printed on 1/27/2016 Standing Committee Meeting Minutes - Final January 20, 2016 2016-0032 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh to apply for a grant, execute relevant agreements with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), to receive fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) in relevant grant funds, and to hire a consultant for the amount not to exceed one-hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) in the event the grant is awarded to the City of Pittsburgh. The grant would provide fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) and the 2011 Comprehensive Plan Account would provide the remaining fifty thousand dollars ($50,000). A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried NEW PAPERS 2016-0006 Ordinance supplementing the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances, Title Nine - Zoning, Chapter 922 Development Review Procedures, Sections 922.10.E.2, 922.11.B.3 and 922.11.C.2 with a new subsection, “Affordable Housing Impact Statements.” (Reference Bill No. 2015-2063 which expired on 12-31-2015) SPONSORS: REV. BURGESS AND MR. LAVELLE A motion was made that this matter be Held in the Committee on Land Use and Economic Development. The motion carried 2016-0007 Ordinance amending and supplementing the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances, Title XI, Historic Preservation, by adding and deleting language. (Reference Bill 2015-2001 which expired on 12-31-15) SPONSORS: REV. BURGESS A motion was made that this matter be Held in Committee to the Committee on Land Use and Economic Development. The motion carried 2016-0009 Ordinance accepting a new street name, CARTER COURT in the Eighth Ward of the City of Pittsburgh as per recommendation by the City of Pittsburgh Addressing Committee (CPAC). The following street was approved by CPAC in October 2015. The name listed in this ordinance shall be made official in accordance with the Pittsburgh Code, Title Four, Public Places and Property, Chapter 420 Uniform Street Naming and Addressing.
