A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2016-0058 Resolution authorizing the issuance of a warrant in the sum of Six Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($6,000.00), in favor of Elissa Lang, Swenson & Perer, One Oxford Center, Suite 2501, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, releasing and discharging the City of Pittsburgh from direct liability in any and all claims in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania filed at AR 13-005658. The motion carried NEW PAPERS 2016-0075 An Ordinance supplementing the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances Title 5, Traffic; Article VII, Parking, by creating Chapter 546 - Parking Enhancement District. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2016-0079 Resolution calling on the Director of Finance to draft all necessary policies and procedures in order to create an equitable property assessment appeal process to maintain the fairness and productivity of the tax base and to give residents assurance that they are being taxed fairly on property values. KAIL-SMITH, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2016-0077 Resolution authorizing the Mayor, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works, to enter into an agreement with the Pittsburgh Parking Authority of Allegheny County, for the City of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to enter land owned by the Pittsburgh Parking Authority to construct the Liberty Bridge Rain Garden. A motion was made that this matter be Held in Committee to the Committee on Public Works , due back by 2/17/2016. The motion carried LAND USE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, MS. GROSS, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2016-0074 Resolution authorizing the Department of City Planning to enter into contract or contracts, or agreement or agreements, in order to complete an independent traffic study regarding the reconnection of Foster Street. GILMAN, CHAIR SUPPLEMENTAL - NEW PAPERS 2016-0087 Resolution amending Resolution # 499 of 2015 which provided for the sale of property at 1235 Clairhaven Street in the 28th Ward, by substituting School District of Pittsburgh for Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh.
