The motion carried 2016-0155 Resolution repealing items in Resolutions approved on various dates, authorizing the sale of properties in various wards of the City of Pittsburgh, in accordance with Act No. 171 of 1984, “Second Class City Treasurer Sale and Collection Act”, effective December 11, 1984. Items A: 5224 Rosetta A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried INVOICES A motion was made to Approve. The motion was carried. INTRA DEPARTMENTAL TRANSFERS None PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE, MRS. KAIL-SMITH, CHAIR SUPPLEMENTAL - NEW PAPERS 2016-0178 Resolution further amending Resolution No. 772 effective January 1, 2013, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2013 Capital Budget and the 2013 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2013 through 2018 Capital Improvement Program,” by reducing Slope Failure Remediation (-$100,000.00) and transferring the funding to the Play Area Improvements (+$100,000.00) line item. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried NEW PAPERS 2016-0156 Resolution authorizing the Mayor, and Director of Public works of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with Tree Pittsburgh, a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation, for Tree Pittsburgh to utilize goats as a vegetation management option in designated City Parks. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. A motion was made that this matter be Held in the Committee on Public Works , due back by 3/16/2016. The motion carried 2016-0159 Resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor and the Director of Public Works to enter into a Cooperation Agreement to allow for the City’s use of County equipment and radio frequencies. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2016-0161 Ordinance amending the Pittsburgh Code, Title 4 - Public Places and Property, Article I - Public Rights of Way Chapter 416: Obstructions, by repealing Chapter 416 in its entirety and replacing it with new language. The motion carried LAND USE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, MS. GROSS, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2016-0149 Resolution authorizing a five-year Intergovernmental Agreement or Agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh utilizing the City of Pittsburgh as the responsible entity pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (“NEPA”) to assume the responsibility of HUD for environmental reviews and for making decisions and taking actions that include executing the certification portion of HUD's Request for Release of Funds and Certification for the subject Authorities public housing grant program. (Council Districts: All). A motion was made that this matter be Held in Committee to the Committee on Land Use and Economic Development, due back by 3/16/2016. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended.
