A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried NEW PAPERS 2016-0539 Resolution authorizing the issuance of a warrant in the total sum of $4,956.00 to Burns White LLC, Four Northshore Center, and 106 Isabella St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212 for professional consulting services in connection with expert consulting services related to Beech Construction Inc. vs. City of Pittsburgh. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried 2016-0593 Ordinance amending the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances, Title Two: Fiscal; Article X: Business Related Fees; Chapter 271: Nonresidents Sports Facility Usage Fee, to clarify defined terms, to require the disclosure of any contracts or agreements a publicly funded venue has made with a performing entity, and institute a fine or penalty to the venue for non-compliance. A motion was made that this matter be AMENDED. The motion carried A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended as Amended. The motion carried 2016-0594 Resolution amending Bill number 2016-0594 as follows so as to replace “Chief of Police” with “Director of Public Safety.” Such a change allows for broader public safety training needs, and is more consistent with how the city does other contracts. LAVELLE, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2016-0590 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Public Safety to enter into a grant agreement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security, to receive a FY 2015 Assistance to Firefighters Grant and further providing for an agreement or agreements for Driver/Operator Certification Training for Bureau personnel. HARRIS, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2016-0587 Resolution providing that the City of Pittsburgh enter into a Professional Services Agreement(s) and/or Contract(s) with Coro Pittsburgh for the purpose of obtaining a Fellow to work with Personnel and Civil Service staff on strategic projects and research; and providing for the payment of the costs thereof not to exceed $15,000.00 over three years, subject to appropriation.
