LAVELLE, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2017-1783 Ordinance amending the Pittsburgh Code, Title Six, Article I, “Regulated Rights and Actions,” Chapter 601, “Public Order,” by adding Section 601.20, “PROHIBITING NON-PERMITTED OCCUPANCY OF ROOFTOPS.” SPONSOR /S: MR. KAIL-SMITH, CHAIR DEFERRED PAPERS 2016-0875 Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Public Works to assume responsibility for the year round maintenance, repair, and future alterations constructed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as part of the East Ohio Street Improvement Project. A motion was made that this matter be Held in Committee to the Committee on Public Works , due back by 9/6/2017. The motion carried. LAND USE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, MS. GROSS, CHAIR SUPPLEMENTAL - NEW PAPERS 2017-1822 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of City Planning to enter into contract with consultant(s) to perform a comprehensive analysis of Pittsburgh’s farmers’ market system, and develop a plan for growth that improves equitable access to fresh, affordable, culturally appropriate food, supports our regional food producers, and promotes healthy eating for all residents. The study should be executed for a sum not to exceed Forty-Six Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($46,000.00). A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried. DEFERRED PAPERS 2017-1373 Resolution amending resolution number 772 of 2016, as amended, entitled “Resolution adopting and approving the 2017 Capital Budget and the 2017 Community Development Block Grant Program” so as to transfer one hundred thousand dollars from Community Based Organizations to the Southwest Pittsburgh CDC ($50,000) and the Mount Washington CDC ($50,000). (Public Hearing Held, August 29, 2017) A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried. URBAN RECREATION COMMITTEE, MR. O'CONNOR, CHAIR NEW PAPERS 2017-1778 Resolution authorizing the issuance of a warrant in favor of the Recreonics, Inc. in an amount not to exceed Thirty Two Thousand, Three Hundred, Fifty Eight Dollars and Zero Cents ($32,358.00), for the purchase of bromine tablets for the City’s regional swimming pools; and providing for the payment thereof. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried. 2017-1779 Resolution authorizing the issuance of a warrant in favor of Mary Beth Mueller, 112 Sharon Drive, Pittsburgh, Pa 15221 in an amount not to exceed TWENTY THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($20,450.00) for professional services in connection with event promotion, website content, sponsorship promotional and other promotional activities on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation. A motion was made that this matter be Affirmatively Recommended. The motion carried. 2017-1780 Resolution authorizing the issuance of a warrant in favor of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust in an amount not to exceed Thirty Nine Thousand, Five Hundred, Twenty Five Dollars and Fifty Cents ($39,525.50), for the payment of programming by instructors from Gateway to the Arts at our Recreation Centers for 2016 and 2017; and providing for the payment thereof.
