Adjournment 1 Page 1 CITY OF PORTLAND, MAINE Landcare Management Advisory Committee April 1, 2024 Start time: 6:30 PM DRAFT Minutes April 1, 2024 Attendance: Melissa Runstrom, Avery Kamila, Troy Moon, Karly Meyer, Priscilla Skerry Review and Approve March 4 Minutes March 4 minutes unanimously approved. Designate Chair and Waiver Committee Members The committee unanimously decided to delay voting for Chair until the open committee seats are filled. General Discussion Avery Kamila expressed interest in making amendments to reduce the technical requirements for Committee Members for the open seats, which would allow more residents and people with an organic focus to join LMAC, especially since the three open seats have very specific requirements and credentials. Troy Moon was in agreement with this idea. Melissa asked Troy Moon what the Sustainability Office sees for the future of LMAC. Troy Moon stated the Sustainability Office is still committed to supporting the committee and helping educate residents about organic landcare practices. Set Next Meeting Date The committee decided to not have a meeting next month and will schedule the next meeting for June or July. Adjourned at 8 PM Page 2
