ABOUT A SUBJECT OVER WHICH THE COMMON COUNCIL HAS DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY. IF A QUORUM OF THE COMMON COUNCIL ATTENDS

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
I. APPROVE MINUTES FOR THE MEETING HELD ON MAY 20, 2026:
THE COMMITTEE WILL RECEIVE INFORMATION ON NON-AGENDA TOPICS BROUGHT BEFORE THE
COMMITTEE BY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC. THE COMMITTEE WILL NOT DISCUSS THESE TOPICS, AND
WILL NOT TAKE ACTION ON ANY OF THEM AT THIS MEETING
I. GENERAL BUSINESS:
A. Update on current projects
B. Tour New WWTP Facility
II. ADJOURN:

The Public Works Committee for the City of Reedsburg convened a regular meeting, on May 20,
2026, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following members present:
Members Present: Phil Peterson, Jason Schulte, John Dietrich, Todd Polk and Charlie Backeberg
Also Present: Steven Zibell and Chris Kleinschmit
Motion by Dietrich seconded by Backeberg to approve the minutes of March 18th, 2026,
meeting.
Motion Carried
Zibell presented bids for Tenth Street on the old Land’s End property. Motion by Dietrich
seconded by Backeberg to recommend the low bid from Ray Zobel and Sons to the Common
Council.
Motion Carried
Zibell presented the 2025 CMAR. Chris was also present but there were no questions from the
committee. Motion by Polk seconded by Schulte to recommend Resolution 4600-26 to the City
Council for approval.
Motion Carried
Zibell discussed making the intersection of South Viking drive and Commercial Avenue into a
three way stop since we have been getting more requests. Zibell stated he checked with the
police and there have been no reported accidents since it opened. The committee felt this was a
good idea since some members have also had calls about making this a 3 -way stop. Motion by
Polk seconded by Backeberg to make the intersection of South Viking Drive and Commercial
Avenue a three way stop and recommend to Common Council.
Motion Carried
Zibell gave an update on current projects and the wwtp project.
No Action
Motion by Dietrich seconded by Backeberg to adjourn.
Motion Carried
