RES17-2253 Resolution Development Security Reduction Airport Road Industrial North Building at 1101 W. Airport Road, Romeoville, Illinois This Resolution was Approved. RES17-2254 Resolution Acceptance of Public Improvements Opus at Paragon Development, Romeoville, Illinois This Resolution was Approved. 5. MAYOR'S REPORT Thanks again to Sue Micklevitz for her service to the Village. Condolences to Leah Petro and Dan Falese on the passing of their loved ones. I attended the US Conference of Mayor's conference last week. Thanks to Senator Durbin who was so gracious with his time. Congratulations to Dr Judy Mitchell will be inaugurated as JJC's new President on February 1st. Welcome back to Shannon McCarthy. 17-2318 Appointment of Commission/Committee Members Mr Daley thanked the Mayor and Board for the opportunity to serve the veterans of the community. A motion was made by Trustee Chavez, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, that this Appointment be Accepted. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Trustee Chavez, Trustee Palmiter, Trustee Richards, and Trustee Clancy Absent: 1- Trustee Griffin Non-voting: 1- Mayor Noak 17-2319 Appointment of Lou Aguirre to fill the vacant Trustee position Mayor Noak gave a brief bio of Lourdes Aguirre. Congratulations to the new commission members Congratulations and welcome to Lou Aguirre. The Community Service Council met on January 17th. The Valley View Enrichment Foundation has a meeting tonight. 7. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS Trustee Richards-Planning and Zoning/Zoning Board of Appeals/REMA REMA has taken delivery of the new mobile command center. The next Planning and Zoning meeting will be cancelled. Trustee Clancy-Beautification/Parks and Recreation A Recreation update was given. Trustee Palmiter-Finance/Humane Society-Special Events A Finance update was given. The Special Events Commission participated at the Open House. The next meeting will be April 11th. RES17-2256 A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Enter into a Contract for the Well No. 9 Test Pumping Project This Resolution was Approved. 10. BOARD COMMENTS Trustee Chavez- STEM Fest will be held at the White Oak Library Romeoville Branch for students in grade K-12 on March 4th. This is a great program. Welcome to Lou Aguirre.
