James Hines-represents the Marquette's Landing communty.
Their complaint is the fence behind the old Dominicks. It is in very bad
condition. He would appreciate any help that they can get.
Mayor Noak stated that they have contacted the owner and he has agreed
to get it taken care of. We will follow up with him.

5. MAYOR'S REPORT
Congratulations to Lewis University-they held a ground breaking
for the Brother Gaffney Student Center on April 25th.
Hosted the Mobil Coffee with the Mayor last Friday.
Congratulations to Iron and Glass who had their ribbon cutting this
past Saturday.
The Superhero Shuffle 5k will be held this Sunday.
There will be a ribbon cutting for our new Community Garden at

11:00 on May 10th.
The Police Awards Banquet will be held on May 11th and the Fire
Awards Banquet will be held on May 13th.
The Beer and Bacon event will be held on May 12th. at the
Edwards Hospital Athletic and Event Center.
I will be speaking at Irene King’s Career Day on May 12th.
The Metra Groundbreaking will be held on May 16th at 10:00.
17-2353 Proclamation Police Week May 14-20, 2017
Chief Turvey stated that Police work can be a very rewarding yet very
challenging occupation. While unfortunately there are some bad officers
out there, the vast majority serve their communities with integrity and
professionalism. We have great citizen support in Romeoville. This
reminds the police officers that they are not alone and they have the
backing of the citizens they serve.
A motion was made by Trustee Clancy, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, that this
Proclamation be Accepted. The motion carried by the following vote:

6. CLERK'S REPORT
Congratulations to Kirk and the Finance Department for receiving a
Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting.
Both Valley View High Schools were ranked in the top 14% of all high
schools in Illinois according to US News and World Report.
The next Community Service Council will meet on May 16th.
Thanks to all of the residents who supported us in the April election.
Congratulations to Mayor Noak and to the Trustees who were reelected.
Thanks to Judge Gamora.
Thanks to our Police Officers for thier service.

10. BOARD COMMENTS
Trustee Chavez-
Many thanks to all who voted on election day and to those that cast their
vote for us.
Our first Park Party will be held on May 16th at Meadowalk Park. SAC will
be sponsoring the event.
The Youth Police Academy applications are due by May 12th.
Mistwood will be having a fireworks show on May 28th.
Trustee Clancy-
A Recreation update was given.
Thanks to all who voted for us.
The Police Department does a great job.
The Clean Up Week poster contest awards will be given out tomorrow.
Happy birthday to his wife.
Trustee Richards-
He is honored and privelage to serve the residents of Romeoville. Thanks
to all who voted for them.
Congratulations to the RHS students who were recognized, it is great to
see young men and women in our community do well.
Our Memorial Day Service will be on May 29th at 10:00 a.m.
Cruisin the Square is May 25th.
