RES17-2332 A Resolution Authorizing an amendment to the existing
agreement in order to extend the estimated ending date for the
Phase I Engineering for I-55 Interchanges at Illinois Route 126 and
Airport Road (Job P-91-130-07)

RES17-2335 A Resolution Declaring Surplus Property and Authorizing the
Disposition of Surplus Property (1995 Pierce Saber Fire Truck)
This Resolution was Approved.
5. MAYOR'S REPORT
We have had several ground breaking ceremonies and ribbon
cuttings: Romeoville Toyota/Amazon/Thornton’s/Metro
Exhibit-congratulations to all of them.
I spoke to the Discovery Academy students today for their career
day. Thanks to the organizers of this event. It is a fantastic
program.
Happy 60th Anniversary to Jerry and Marlene Capps.
Join us for the Sunday Symphony on June 25th from 2:00-4:00.
Join us for our 3rd of July Celebration. Activities began at 6:00 and
the fireworks will begin at 9:30.
Congratulations to Quality Carpentry and Roofing who are
celebrating their 10th anniversary.
BMO Harris will hold a ribbon cutting for their new location on July
18th.
The July 5th and August 2nd Board Meetings have been cancelled.
Village offices will be closed on July 4th.
ORD17-1390 An Ordinance Amending Chapter 112 (Alcoholic Beverages) of the
Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances
A motion was made by Trustee Chavez, seconded by Trustee Griffin, that this
Ordinance be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote:

6. CLERK'S REPORT
The Community Service Council met last night. They are planning an
Autumn Gala, more details to follow.
The Valley View Education Enrichment Foundation had a very successful
golf outing on June 8th. It was well attended.
Congratulations to the Youth Academy graduates.

Congratulations to Mayor Noak.
7. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS
Trustee Aguirre-Police and Fire/Uptown Development
Firefighter Robert Rymsza has been promoted to Lieutenant. The test to
establish the Police eligibility list for future hiring is July 29th. An
application can be picked up at the Police Department.
Trustee Clancy-Beautification/Parks and Recreation
The judges are out looking at the houses for the Home of the Month
awards.
A Recreation update was given.
Trustee Griffin-Veteran's/EDC
The Veteran's Commission presented scholarships to Elizabeth Zahorick
and Abigail Swank on May 18th. They will meet next in July.
EDC is on summer hiatus.
Trustee Palmiter-Finance/Special Events/Humane Society
A Finance update was given.
Special Events will meet on July 11th.
The Humane Society is always in need of donations.
Trustee Chavez-Youth Outreach/Green Team/VorTv
The Youth Outreach Commission and the Police Department are again
teaming up for a youth basketball league.
VorTv is always looking for volunteers.

A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Chavez, to do a
consent agenda for all new business excluding RES17-2331, with the approval
amount for RES17-2337 being $70,735, and with RES17-2338 to include the entire
community. The motion carried by the following vote:
