CALL TO ORDER Roll Call Present 6- Trustee Linda Palmiter, Trustee Ken Griffin, Trustee Dave Richards, Trustee Brian A. Clancy Sr., Mayor John Noak, and Trustee Lourdes Aguirre Absent 1- Trustee Jose Chavez 2. POSTING OF COLORS, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. PETITIONS FROM THE PUBLIC Jerry Capps- He is President of the Friends of the White Oak Library. He is asking for the resident's help in passing their referendum. It will cost the average homeowner $1.40/month. This will help Romeoville catch up by providing a high tech digital lab in the library. 4. CONSENT AGENDA A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, to do a consent agenda. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Trustee Palmiter, Trustee Griffin, Trustee Richards, Trustee Clancy, and Trustee Aguirre Absent: 1- Trustee Chavez Non-voting: 1- Mayor Noak Approval of the Consent Agenda A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, to approve the Consent Agenda. MAYOR'S REPORT Congratulations to EZ Mail who held their ribbon cutting on March 1st. I attended the Valley View Enrichment Foundation Annual Dinner on March 2nd. He enourages the Romeoville teachers to take advantage of the grants the foundation offers. Bridges to a New Day will be holding their annual Brunch on March 18th. The Knights of Columbus will be hosting their Annual St Patrick's Day Dinner. I attended Lemont's State of the Village address. Happy anniversary to his wife. 6. CLERK'S REPORT The Community Service Council had its Donor's Appreciation Dinner last thursday. They were also nominated for the Best of Bolingbrook Award. The Valley View Enrichment Foundation fundraiser was held last friday. There was a great turnout. She echoes the Mayor's comments regarding the teachers. Take advantage of the grants. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT The Village will participate in an event to honor the veterans of the Vietnam War. The event will take place on March 29th at 11:00 a.m. This was at the suggestion of Trustee Griffin. 9. NEW BUSINESS A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, to do a consent agenda. Independence Blvd. This Ordinance was Approved. RES18-2450 A Resolution Authorizing a Development Agreement with Illini Precast-Romeoville, LLC This Resolution was Approved. 10. BOARD COMMENTS Trustee Palmiter- Thanks to Bernice for encouraging our Romeoville teachers. She encourages our residents to support the library referendum. The Humane Society will be having Pet Photos with the Easter Bunny on March 10th at the Friendship Center. It is free money. The Vietnam War Veteran's recognition day is March 29th. Trustee Clancy- Congratulations to Mayor Noak and his wife. The Springtide Craft Show will be held on March 17th. Condolences to the McGowan Family on the passing of Mike. Trustee Richards- The library offers so many services to our community. The Knights of Columbus dinner is sold out. The next Planning and Zoning meeting will be March 13th. Trustee Aguirre- Congratulations to Mayor Noak and his wife. Congratulations to Romeoville High School. Their production of The Wiz was phenomenal. 11. EXECUTIVE SESSION None 12.
