MAYOR'S REPORT Today is a national day of mourning for President Bush. Condolences to his family. He served us well. Condolences to the Kochan, Biggert and Kinder familes. Congratulations to Doc Watson’s and Romeoville Toyota on their ribbon cuttings. White Oak Library will be having an open house tomorrow from 5:00-7:00. Join us for our Winter Wonderland/Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday starting at 6:00. Grand Haven will be holding their holiday party on Friday. Speedy recovery to Linda Palmiter. PH18-2288 A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the Village of Romeoville for 2018. A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Clancy,to open the public hearing. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS None 8. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT Thank you to Kirk and his staff, putting together the levies and abatements takes a lot of work. Thanks to Public Works for the great job they did with our first storm of the season. Get well to Linda. 9. ORD18-1524 An Ordinance establishing maximum tax rates for the Village of Romeoville and authorizing the Village Manager and Finance Director to make the appropriate adjustments and abatements to the 2018 Tax Levy for the Village of Romeoville, Will County, Illinois. BOARD COMMENTS Trustee Griffin- EDC will be meeting tomorrow morning. Trustee Clancy- Join us for Winter Wonderland on Friday. The Beautification Commission will be out judging the lights for the holiday light contest. Condolences to the Bush and Kinder families. Get well to Linda. Trustee Richards- Condolences to the Kochan and Kinder families. Attended both of the ribbon cuttings. These are two great businesses to have in town. Get well soon to Linda. Remember after 2 inches of snowfall the parking rules go into effect. Trustee Aguirre- Condolences to the Kinder and Bush families. Congratulations to Doc Watson's and Toyota. Thanks to all the residents who dealt with the construction on Route 53 and Joliet Rd. Get well to Linda. Looking forward to the tree lighting. Mayor Noak stated that the transformation of that intersection is just amazing. He commended staff and the companies that have invested in this area. 11. EXECUTIVE SESSION None 12.
