Design Review Board Joint Public Meeting with Planning Board Meeting Agenda Thursday, July 23, 2026 6:30 pm Notice is hereby given that a joint meeting of the Design Review Board with the Salem Redevelopment Authority will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. via remote participation pursuant to Section 30A of chapter 20 of the acts of 2021, as amended by 2 section 40 of chapter 2 of the acts of 2023, and further amended by Section 1 of Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2025, the City is authorized to conduct remote meetings of its public bodies through June 30, 2027. Every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. If we are unable to do so on matters not requiring a public hearing, we will post on the City of Salem’s website an audio or video recording, transcript, or other comprehensive record of proceedings as soon as possible after the meeting. The applicant proposes the demolition of the buildings at 24 Endicott Street and 56 Margin Street, the adaptive reuse of 54 Margin Street, and the preservation of the facade of 20 Endicott Street to accommodate for a 22,806 square foot building comprised of 53 affordable homes, a shelter with 70 beds, and supportive programming space along with other site improvements.
