The City Council will hold its regular meeting in the Norma S. Rodriguez Council Chamber in the
Municipal Plaza Building located at 114 W. Commerce Street beginning at the above referenced date
and time for the following items. Once convened, the City Council will take up the following items in
any order during the meeting but no sooner than the designated times.

Grant Applications and Awards
26. Ordinance approving the submission of a Truancy Intervention and Prevention grant application
and acceptance of funds, upon award, of up to $355,823, from the Criminal Justice Division of the
Governor's Office, for the period of September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025, and authorizing five

27. Ordinance approving the submission of a grant application and the acceptance of funds upon
award from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) for the Outdoor Recreation Legacy
Partnership (ORLP) Program Grant as part of the National Park Service’s Land and Water
Conservation Fund (LWCF) in the amount of up to $3,255,000 for the revitalization and
development at Woodlawn Lake Park. This grant requires a onetoone inkind match with
funding of $2,020,000 from the 20222027 Bond Program, reallocation of $900,000 from the FY
2024 Tree Planting Project, reallocation of $250,000 from the Council Infrastructure Program,
and a $85,000 inkind contribution from the San Antonio River Authority. This ordinance also
authorizes the Parks and Recreation Director to execute any and all related documents as well as
the acceptance of additional grant funds if awarded, in an amount up to 20% of the total amount
