The Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission will hold its regular meeting in the 100
W. Houston Street, San Antonio, TX 78205, Room 10.W1003 beginning at 9:00 AM. Once
convened, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission will take up the following
items no sooner than the designated times.
Once a quorum is established, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission shall
consider the following:
Approval of Minutes
1. Approval of the minutes from the Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission
meeting on March 10, 2022
Briefing and Possible Action on the following items
2. Protest and appeals of questions from the written examination for the position of Fire Captain
administered on March 11, 2022.
3. Notice and appropriate action regarding the approval of the eligibility list for the position of Fire
Captain.
4. Review, discussion, and possible action regarding SAPD applicants appeal to beginning positions.
a. Edward Lopez – Rule IX 11 – False Statement – Permanent Disqualification
b. Stephen Melton – Rule IX 9a – Employment History – Permanent Disqualification
c. Shawn Perales – Rule IX 14i – Criminal Activity – Permanent Disqualification
5. Review, discussion, and possible action regarding SAFD applicants appeal to beginning
positions.

h. A one (1) day suspension for Fire Engineer Richard Galindo effective March 14, 2022.
i. A one (1) day suspension for Officer Nicholas P. Rosol effective March 3, 2022.
j. An agreed fifteen (15) day suspension for Detective Regino S. Segura effective March 1, 2022.
k. A five (5) day suspension for Officer Todd Tackitt effective March 14, 2022.
l. An agreed three (3) day suspension for Officer William Watson effective March 9, 2022.
m. A six (6) day suspension for Fire Engineer Marco Martinez effective March 23, 2022.
These matters have not been appealed and are, therefore, final.
n. A thirty (30) day suspension for Lieutenant Christopher Johnson effective March 10, 2022. A
letter of appeal was received on March 11, 2022.
Public Comments
The Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission may at any time during the
meeting recess into an executive session to discuss personnel and/or legal issues related to
any item on this agenda, pursuant to Section 551.074 (personnel matters) and 551.071
(consultation with attorney).
