City of San Antonio AGENDA Public Safety Committee City Hall Complex San Antonio, Texas 78205 Tuesday, August 16, 2022 9:30 AM City Hall Complex The Public Safety Committee will hold its regular meeting in the Council Briefing Room, City Hall beginning at 9:30 AM. Once convened, the Public Safety Committee will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times. Members of the public can comment or speak on items on the agenda. Public comment will be scheduled during the meeting by the Chair. If an individual signs up to speak on one or more items, all comments will be heard at the same time. Once a quorum is established, the Public Safety Committee shall consider the following: Approval of Minutes 1. Approval of minutes from the June 21, 2022 Public Safety Committee Meeting. Public Comment Briefing and Possible Action on 2. Briefing and Possible Action on an Implementation plan for the use of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds for the category of Mental Health. [María Villagómez, Deputy City Manager; Claude Jacob, Director, Health] Briefing 3. Overview by Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales of the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s public safety initiatives and ways the Office is focusing on violent crime prosecution. Executive Session Briefing and Possible Action on 2.
