Once convened, the Public Safety Committee will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times. Members of the public can comment or speak on items on the agenda. Public comment will be scheduled during the meeting by the Chair. If an individual signs up to speak on one or more items, all comments will be heard at the same time. Once a quorum is established, the Public Safety Committee shall consider the following: Approval of Minutes 1. Approval of minutes from the March 19, 2024 Public Safety Committee Meeting Public Comment Consent 2. Briefing and possible action on the submission of a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) grant application and acceptance of funds upon award in an amount up to $2,181,533.00 from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) for the period of January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025 as well as accepting additional grant funds up to 20% of the grant and authorizes a budget and personnel complement of 16 positions.
