City of San Antonio AGENDA City Council Special Session Council Briefing Room 100 Military Plaza San Antonio, Texas 78205 Wednesday, November 20, 2024 2:00 PM City Hall Complex The City Council will hold a special meeting beginning at the above referenced date and time for the following items. Once convened, the City Council will take up the following items in any order during the meeting but no sooner than the designated times. Discussion regarding the appointment process in which the Mayor currently has the sole power to appoint members, as requested by the three­signature memo signed by Councilmembers Teri Castillo (District 5), Melissa Cabello­Havrda (District 6), and Marc Whyte (District 10). EXECUTIVE SESSION At any time during the meeting, The City Council may recess into executive session in the Presidio Conference Room to consult with the City Attorney's Office (Texas Government Code Section 551.071) and deliberate or discuss any of the following: A. Economic development negotiations pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.087 (economic development) B. The purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.072 (real property). C. Legal issues related to collective bargaining pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071 (consultation with attorney). D. Legal issues related to litigation involving the City pursuant to Texas Government Code Section A.
