Recommendation: Accept the update on Digital Literacy Initiatives being implemented in
the San Jose Public Library and Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood
Services departments, including the Coding5K program, the Wonder
Workshop pilot program, device lending pilot program, and public
computer and Wi-Fi data usage.

Recommendation: 1. Accept the report on the progress towards achieving the housing and
community development goals identified in the City's five-year
Consolidated Plan (2015-2020) and the FY 2018-2019 Annual Action
Plan (Housing) regarding the use of federal funds from the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
2. Cross-reference this report to the full City Council to be heard at the
September 24, 2019, City Council meeting.
