CALL TO ORDER The City Council of The City of Seattle met in the Council Chamber in City Hall in Seattle, Washington, on June 22, 2015, pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter. The meeting was called to order at 2:02 p.m., with Council President Burgess presiding. B. ROLL CALL Present: 8 - Burgess, Godden, Harrell, Licata, O'Brien, Okamoto, Rasmussen, Sawant Late Arrival: 1 - Bagshaw C. ADOPTION OF INTRODUCTION AND REFERRAL CALENDAR IRC 20 June 22, 2015 Motion was made and duly seconded to adopt the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar. ACTION 1: Motion was made by Councilmember Sawant, duly seconded and carried, to amend the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar by introducing Resolution No. 31596, and by referring it to the Select Committee on Transportation Funding. Resolution No. 31596, Requesting that the Office of Intergovernmental Relations seek a change in the State of Washington laws in order to expand eligibility for the existing low-income property tax exemption. ACTION 2: Motion was made and duly seconded to adopt the Introduction and Referral Calendar as amended. PRESENTATIONS Councilmember Harrell read the names of the victims of the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church shooting that occured on June 17, 2015, in Charleston, South Carolina. Councilmember Bagshaw entered the Council Chamber at 2:08 p.m. Council President Burgess requested a moment of silence in remembrance of the victims and their families. The Committee recommends that Full Council pass the Council Bill (CB).
