CALL TO ORDER The City Council of The City of Seattle met in the Council Chamber in City Hall in Seattle, Washington, on May 9, 2016, pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter. The meeting was called to order at 2:01 p.m., with Council President Harrell presiding. B. ADOPTION OF INTRODUCTION AND REFERRAL CALENDAR IRC 62 May 9, 2016 Motion was made, duly seconded and carried, to adopt the proposed Introduction & Referral Calendar (IRC) by the following vote: In Favor: 7 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Johnson, Juarez, O'Brien, Sawant Opposed: None D. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA Motion was made, duly seconded and carried, to adopt the proposed Agenda. E. PAYMENT OF BILLS CB 118677 AN ORDINANCE appropriating money to pay certain audited claims and ordering the payment thereof. Motion was made and duly seconded to pass Council Bill 118677. The Motion carried, the Council Bill (CB) was passed by the following vote, and the President signed the Bill: In Favor: 8 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Herbold, Johnson, Juarez, O'Brien, Sawant Opposed: None I. COMMITTEE REPORTS FULL COUNCIL 1. Res 31663 A RESOLUTION declaring The City of Seattle’s intention to conduct a public hearing concerning the assumption of the rights, powers, functions, and obligations of the Seattle Transportation Benefit District by The City of Seattle. Motion was made and duly seconded to adopt Resolution 31663. CF 314287 Application of Kevin Cleary to rezone land at 10711 8th Ave NE a 95,027 square feet of portion of land from Neighborhood Commercial 3-40 (NC3-40) to NC3-65 (Project No. 3018442, Type IV). The Committee recommends that Full Council grant the Application as conditioned. In Favor: 3 - Johnson, O'Brien, Herbold Opposed: None The Application was granted as conditioned by the following vote, and the President signed the Findings, Conclusions, and Decision of the Council: In Favor: 8 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Herbold, Johnson, Juarez, O'Brien, Sawant Opposed: None 7. CB 118676 AN ORDINANCE relating to land use and zoning; amending Chapter 23.32 of the Seattle Municipal Code at page 16 of the Official Land Use Map to rezone property located at 10711 8th Avenue NE from Neighborhood Commercial 3-40 (NC3-40) to Neighborhood Commercial 3-65 (NC3-65), and accepting a Property Use and Development Agreement as a condition of rezone approval. (Petition by Kevin Cleary, Baylis Architects, C.F. 314287, DPD Project 3018442) The Committee recommends that Full Council pass as amended the Council Bill (CB).
