A. CALL TO ORDER
The City Council of The City of Seattle met in Special Session in the
Council Chamber in City Hall in Seattle, Washington, on May 17, 2017,
pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter. The meeting was called
to order at 1:31 p.m., with Council President Pro Tem Tim Burgess
presiding.
B. ROLL CALL
Present: 5 - Bagshaw, Burgess, González , Juarez, O'Brien
Excused: 3 - Harrell, Herbold, Sawant
Late Arrival: 1 - Johnson
C. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Motion was made, duly seconded and carried, to adopt the proposed
Agenda.
Councilmember Johnson entered the Council Chamber at 1:32 p.m.
By unanimous consent, the Council Rules were suspended to allow
Michael Van Dyke to address the Council.

1. Res 31751 A RESOLUTION relating to contracting indebtedness;
confirming, ratifying and approving certain terms of the
issuance and sale of The City of Seattle, Washington, Limited
Tax General Obligation Improvement Bonds, 2017A, Limited
Tax General Obligation Improvement and Refunding Bonds,
2017B (Taxable), and Unlimited Tax General Obligation
Refunding Bonds, 2017 for the purposes set forth in
Ordinances 125197 and 121651 (as amended by Ordinance
122286 and amended and restated by Ordinance 124343);
confirming, ratifying and approving actions taken and to be
taken and agreements entered into and to be entered into with
the Seattle-Chinatown International District Preservation and
Development Authority to provide for the refunding (pursuant
to a refunding trust agreement with a refunding trustee) of
certain outstanding bonds guaranteed by the City, and with
the Seattle Opera for the use of bond proceeds for the
replacement of the Mercer Arena; and confirming ratifying and
approving the official notice of bond sale and other actions of
the Director of Finance and other City officials relating to the
issuance and sale of the various series of bonds to their
purchasers.
Motion was made and duly seconded to adopt Resolution 31751.
The Motion carried, the Resolution (Res) was adopted by the
following vote, and the President signed the Resolution:
In Favor: 6 - Bagshaw, Burgess, González , Johnson, Juarez, O'Brien
Opposed: None
E. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 1:38 p.m.
