CALL TO ORDER The City Council of The City of Seattle met in the Council Chamber in City Hall in Seattle, Washington, on June 12, 2017, pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter. The meeting was called to order at 2:03 p.m., with Council President Harrell presiding. B. ADOPTION OF INTRODUCTION AND REFERRAL CALENDAR Page 1 Full Council Meeting Minutes June 12, 2017 IRC 116 June 12, 2017 ACTION 1: Motion was made and duly seconded to adopt the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar. ACTION 2: Motion was made by Councilmember Harrell, duly seconded and carried, to amend the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar by introducing Council Bill 118999, and by referring it to the Full Council. Council Bill 118999, AN ORDINANCE relating to the appropriations for the Seattle Department of Transportation; amending Ordinance 125207, which adopted the 2017 Budget; and imposing a proviso. ACTION 3: Motion was made by Councilmember O'Brien, duly seconded and carried, to amend the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar by introducing Resolution 31757, and by referring it to the Full Council for adoption at today's meeting. Resolution 31757, A RESOLUTION relating to the Office of Sustainability and Environment; affirming The City of Seattle’s commitment to meet or exceed goals established in the Paris Agreement. ACTION 4: Motion was made and duly seconded to adopt the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar as amended. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA ACTION 1: Motion was made and duly seconded to adopt the proposed Agenda. ACTION 2: Motion was made by Councilmember Johnson and duly seconded, to amend the proposed Agenda to hold indefinitely Agenda item 1, Council Bill 118994. 1. CB 118994 AN ORDINANCE relating to education; amending Ordinance 125207, which adopted the 2017 Budget; changing appropriations to various departments and budget control levels, and from various funds in the budget; and approving amendments to an Implementation and Evaluation Plan originally approved by Ordinance 123834, as required by Ordinance 123567; all by a 3/4 vote of the City Council. CB 118967 AN ORDINANCE relating to the Department of Finance and Administrative Services; declaring the vacant property located at 8646 45th Ave S. as surplus to the City’s needs; authorizing the sale of said property; authorizing the Director of Finance and Administrative Services to execute all documents for the sale and transfer of the property; reserving a permanent utility easement; placing the property rights and interests conveyed by the utility easement under the jurisdiction of Seattle Public Utilities; and directing how proceeds from the sale shall be distributed.
