CALL TO ORDER The City Council of The City of Seattle met in the Council Chamber in City Hall in Seattle, Washington, on January 29, 2018, pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter. The meeting was called to order at 2:03 p.m., with Council President Harrell presiding. B. ROLL CALL Present: 9 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Herbold, Johnson, Juarez, Mosqueda, O'Brien, Sawant C. ADOPTION OF INTRODUCTION AND REFERRAL CALENDAR Page 1 Full Council Meeting Minutes January 29, 2018 IRC 144 January 29, 2018 (Revised; 1/26/18 at 3:00 pm) ACTION 1: Motion was made and duly seconded to adopt the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar. ACTION 2: Motion was made by Councilmember Harrell, duly seconded and carried, to amend the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar by introducing Appointment 00905, and by referring it to the Governance, Equity, and Technology Committee. Appointment 00905, Appointment of Ryan P. Vancil as Hearing Examiner. ACTION 3: Motion was made by Councilmember Harrell, duly seconded and carried, to amend the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar by introducing Council Bill 119183, and by referring it to the Full Council for consideration at today’s meeting. Council Bill 119183, AN ORDINANCE appropriating money to pay certain audited claims and ordering the payment thereof. ACTION 4: Motion was made and duly seconded to adopt the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar as amended. The Motion carried, and the Introduction & Referral Calendar (IRC) was adopted as amended by the following vote: In Favor: 9 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Herbold, Johnson, Juarez, Mosqueda, O'Brien, Sawant Opposed: None D. PRESENTATIONS Councilmember Bagshaw read two Proclamations recognizing February 2018, to be American Heart Month, and Friday, February 2, 2018, to be National Wear Red Day. By unanimous consent, the Council Rules were suspended to allow Councilmember Bagshaw to present the Proclamations, and to allow Lindsay Hovind and Dr. Mary Ann Bauman of the American Heart Association, to address the Council. Res 31793 A RESOLUTION addressing a proposed liquefied natural gas facility in Tacoma, and urging the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency to improve tribal consultation procedures and collaborate with regional mayors, leaders, and tribes to address the growing impact of climate change. The Committee recommends that Full Council adopt as amended the Resolution (Res). The Committee recommends that Full Council pass the Council Bill (CB).
