A. CALL TO ORDER
The City Council of The City of Seattle met in the Council Chamber in City
Hall in Seattle, Washington, on April 1, 2019, pursuant to the provisions of
the City Charter. The meeting was called to order at 2:02 p.m., with
Council President Harrell presiding.
B. ROLL CALL
Present: 7 - González , Harrell, Herbold, Johnson, Mosqueda, O'Brien, Sawant
Excused: 2 - Bagshaw, Juarez
By unanimous consent, Councilmember Sawant’s April 1, 2019, excused
absence was rescinded.
Motion was made, duly seconded and carried, to excuse Councilmember
Juarez from the April 1, 2019 City Council meeting.
C. ADOPTION OF INTRODUCTION AND REFERRAL CALENDAR
IRC 200 April 1, 2019
Motion was made, duly seconded and carried, to adopt the
proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar (IRC) by the
following vote:

F. PRESENTATIONS
Councilmember Mosqueda presented a Proclamation recognizing April 1,
2019, as Census Awareness Day. By unanimous consent, the Council
Rules were suspended to allow Councilmember Mosqueda to present the
Proclamation, and to allow Oskar Zambrano, Director of Civic Engagement
and Leadership Development Programs, and Usman Naushab, of the
Latino Community Fund of Washington, to address the Council.

Recreation to execute a lease agreement between the City of
Seattle and Selig Holdings Company, LLC, a Delaware limited
liability company, for office space in the building located at 300
Elliott Avenue West, commonly known as the Elliott Bay Office
Park; and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts.
The Committee recommends that City Council pass the Council
Bill (CB).
