CALL TO ORDER The City Council of The City of Seattle met in the Council Chamber in City Hall in Seattle, Washington, on July 8, 2019, pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter. The meeting was called to order at 2:03 p.m., with Council President Harrell presiding. B. ROLL CALL Present: 8 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Herbold, Juarez, O'Brien, Pacheco, Sawant Excused: 1 - Mosqueda C. ADOPTION OF INTRODUCTION AND REFERRAL CALENDAR IRC 214 July 8, 2019 Motion was made, duly seconded and carried, to adopt the proposed Introduction and Referral Calendar (IRC) by the following vote: In Favor: 8 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Herbold, Juarez, O'Brien, Pacheco, Sawant Opposed: None D. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA Motion was made, duly seconded and carried, to adopt the proposed Agenda. E. APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL There were no Minutes presented for approval. F. PAYMENT OF BILLS CB 119565 AN ORDINANCE appropriating money to pay certain audited claims and ordering the payment thereof. Motion was made and duly seconded to pass Council Bill 119565. The Motion carried, the Council Bill (CB) was passed by the following vote, and the President signed the Bill: In Favor: 8 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Herbold, Juarez, O'Brien, Pacheco, Sawant Opposed: None I. COMMITTEE REPORTS SUSTAINABILITY AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE: 1. CB 119560 AN ORDINANCE accepting the gift of funds for design and purchase of plantings at four business nodes along Delridge Way SW as part of the Delridge Way SW - RapidRide H Line project. The Committee recommends that City Council pass the Council Bill (CB). In Favor: 1 - O'Brien Opposed: None The Council Bill (CB) was passed by the following vote, and the President signed the Bill: In Favor: 8 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Herbold, Juarez, O'Brien, Pacheco, Sawant Opposed: None Page 2 City Council Meeting Minutes July 8, 2019 2. CB 119563 AN ORDINANCE relating to grant funds from non-City sources; authorizing the Director of the Seattle Department of Transportation to accept a specified grant and to execute, deliver, and perform corresponding agreements for and on behalf of the City; amending Ordinance 125724, which adopted the 2019 Budget, including the 2019-2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP); changing appropriations to the Seattle Department of Transportation; revising project allocations and spending plans for certain projects in the 2019-2024 CIP; and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts. The Committee recommends that City Council pass the Council Bill (CB). In Favor: 1 - O'Brien Opposed: None The Council Bill (CB) was passed by the following vote, and the President signed the Bill: In Favor: 8 - Bagshaw, González , Harrell, Herbold, Juarez, O'Brien, Pacheco, Sawant Opposed: None 3. Appt 01372 Appointment of Tanika Thompson Bird as member, Sweetened Beverage Tax Community Advisory Board for a term to August 31, 2023. The Committee recommends that City Council confirm the Appointment (Appt). Appt 01378 Appointment of Steven Fry as member, Urban Forestry Commission, for a term to March 31, 2022. The Committee recommends that City Council confirm the Appointment (Appt).
