Public Hearing
The Seattle City Council Budget Committee will conduct a public
hearing to solicit public comment on: (1) the City’s 2016 General
Revenue Sources, including a possible property tax levy increase; and
(2) Mayor Edward B. Murray’s 2016 Proposed Budget.
This hearing will continue until all in-person comments have been
received.
In the interest of time, members of groups with similar interests are
encouraged to combine their presentations. Group presentations will
be limited to five minutes. Individual comments will be limited to two
minutes or less.

The Seattle City Council Budget Committee Chair, Nick Licata, will
conduct a public hearing at City Council Chambers on Tuesday,
October 6, 2015, to solicit public comment on: (1) the City’s 2016
General Revenue Sources, including a possible property tax levy
increase; and (2) Mayor Edward B. Murray’s 2016 Proposed Budget.
The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will continue until all in-person
comments have been received.
In the interest of time, members of groups with similar interests are
encouraged to combine their presentations. Group presentations will
be limited to five (5) minutes. Individual comments will be limited to
two (2) minutes or less.
Those wishing to provide public comment must sign-up on sheets
provided outside the entry of the City Council Chambers beginning at
4:30 p.m. The Budget Committee hearing will be cablecast live on
Seattle Channel 21 and webcast live at www.seattle.gov/council .

The Mayor’s 2016 Proposed Budget and accompanying 2016-2021
Proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) will be available online
at http://www.seattle.gov/financedepartment. A paper copy of the
Proposed Budget and CIP are available at the Central Library. To
purchase a printed copy of the Proposed Budget or CIP, please

Pay Parking
Pay parking is available in SeaPark Garage located between Cherry
and James Streets and 5th and 6th Avenues. Those attending the
budget public hearings receive a discounted rate of $5. Notify the
garage cashier that you attended the City Council public hearing and
you will receive the special rate. Please note that this garage closes at
11:00 p.m. Disabled parking spaces are available below City Hall for
those with state-issued disabled parking permits. For more
