Items of Business Public Hearing The Select Budget Committee will conduct a public hearing to solicit public comment on: (1) the City’s 2018 General Revenue Sources, including a possible property tax levy increase; and (2) the Mayor’s 2018 Proposed Budget and 2018-2023 Proposed Capital Improvement Program. The hearing begins at 5:30 p.m. and continues until all in-person comments have been received. In the interest of time, members of groups, organizations or coalitions with similar interests are encouraged to combine their presentations. Group presentations with four or more people will be limited to five (5) minutes. Individual comments will be limited to two (2) minutes or less. C. Page 2 Select Budget Committee Agenda October 5, 2017 Notice of Seattle City Council Public Hearing on 2018 General Revenue Sources & Mayor’s 2018 Proposed Budget Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. City Council Chambers, City Hall, Floor 2 600 4th Avenue, Seattle WA 98104 The Seattle City Council Select Budget Committee, chaired by Councilmember Herbold, will conduct a public hearing at City Council Chambers on Thursday, October 5, 2017, to solicit public comment on: (1) the City’s 2018 General Revenue Sources, including a possible property tax levy increase; and (2) the Mayor’s 2018 Proposed Budget and 2018-2023 Proposed Capital Improvement Program. Page 3 Select Budget Committee Agenda October 5, 2017 Written Comments Written comments on the Mayor’s 2018 Proposed Budget are welcome up to the date the Council adopts the final budget (on or before November 20, 2017) via: USPS mail to Councilmember Herbold, Attn: Emilia Sanchez, Deputy City Clerk, PO Box 94728, Seattle, WA 98124-4728; or fax to (206) 386-9025; or e-mail to Council@seattle.gov. All comments received are considered public records. Pay Parking Pay parking is available in SeaPark Garage located between Cherry and James Streets and 5th and 6th Avenues. Those attending the budget public hearings receive a discounted rate of $5.00. Notify the garage cashier that you attended the City Council public hearing and you will receive the special rate. Please note that this discount only applies to vehicles entering the garage after 4:00 p.m. and the garage closes at 11:00 p.m. Disabled parking spaces are available below City Hall for those with state-issued disabled parking permits.
