This meeting also constitutes a meeting of the Full Council, provided that the meeting shall be conducted as a
committee meeting under the Council Rules and Procedures, and Council action shall be limited to committee

Public Hearing
The Select Budget Committee will conduct a public hearing on Thursday,
October 4, 2018, to solicit public comment on: (1) the City's 2019
General Revenue Sources, including a possible property tax levy
increase; and (2) the Mayor's 2019 and 2020 Proposed Budgets and
2019-2024 Capital Improvement Program.
The hearing begins at 5:30 p.m. and continues until all in-person
comments have been received. In the interest of time, members of
groups with similar interests are encouraged to combine their
comments. Groups with three or more people will be limited up to (5)
minutes. Individual comments will be limited up to (2) minutes.

The Seattle City Council Select Budget Committee, chaired by
Councilmember Bagshaw, will conduct a public hearing at City Council
Chambers on Thursday, October 4, 2018, to solicit public comment on:
(1) the City’s 2019 General Revenue Sources, including a possible
property tax levy increase; and (2) the Mayor’s 2019 and 2020 Proposed
Budgets and 2019-2024 Capital Improvement Program.
The hearing begins at 5:30 p.m. and continues until all in-person
comments have been received. In the interest of time, members of

minutes. Individual comments will be limited up to two (2) minutes.
Written Comments
Written comments on the Mayor’s 2019 and 2020 Proposed Budgets
are welcome up to the date the Council adopts the final budget (on or
before November 19, 2018) via: USPS mail to Councilmember
Bagshaw, Attn: Emilia Sanchez, Deputy City Clerk, PO Box 94728,
Seattle, WA 98124-4728; or fax to (206) 386-9025; or e-mail to
Council@seattle.gov. All comments received are considered public
records.

The Mayor’s 2019 and 2020 Proposed Budgets and accompanying
2019-2024 Proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP), are available
online at http://www.seattle.gov/financedepartment/. Paper copies of the
Proposed Budget and CIP are available at the Central Library. To
purchase a printed copy of the Proposed Budgets or CIP, please
contact Zebra Printing at (206) 223-1800.

Pay Parking
Pay parking is available in SeaPark Garage located between Cherry
and James Streets and 5th and 6th Avenues. A discounted rate of
$5.00 begins at 4:00 p.m. Please note the garage closes at 11:00 p.m.
City Hall parking garage has eight disabled parking spaces for those
with a state-issued disability placard or license plate. For more

Council Chambers is ADA accessible. An Induction Loop assistive
listening system is installed. Handheld amplified receivers and headsets

Parents or guardians attending the Budget Public Hearing and who wish

Ashley.Harrison@seattle.gov. On the day of the hearing, check in at City
Council Reception from 5:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m. Childcare will be
provided by A-List Nanny Services.
