Beautification and Improvement Commission

December 5, 2024, Beau�fica�on Mee�ng Hello all, Happy New Year! I hope you all had an amazing evening last night and an incredible 2025!!! While we did not have a quorum and did not vote on any matters, we did talk and take a few notes. Here they are, in case you are interested in catching up on what was discussed. 1. Rachel secured a speaker from the Botanic Garden for the education series at the library for April 24 on turf reduction. (Thank you, Rachel!) 2. NISC discussed a social event, like a plant or seed swap, to happen in March or My. 3. A smaller "pollinator pantry" award was discussed for regular interaction with the community. This will be discussed with the NISC and shared at following meetings, should there be interest. 4. Awards hotwash: Awards went well. Suggestion to have a better documentation system for award winner photos so that it's clear who is who in each photo. 5. There was a brief discussion on the award winner google map and adding past winners. 6. Arbor Day and Emily Oaks plant sale was briefly discussed. This will be further discussed with the NISC.
