Khem Khaeun Ralph Klein Alison Pure Slovin Vice Chair Levine made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Rottner to approve the Keith A, Robinson Minutes of the March 20, 2023 Regular Meeting as written. Motion carried 5-0, Edie Sue Sutker Manager JohnT.Lockerby Counsel Michae! M. Lorge The Board reviewed memoranda presented by Chief Hoeflich announcing the resignation of Firefighter Michael McGreal and a request from entry level Firefighter candidate Joseph McAsey for a one-time deferral of his rank on the Eligibility List. Vice Chair Levine made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Potthast, to accept the resignation of Firefighter McGreal and to grant the one-time deferral request of /liVfI((/i tinil DJItintSiunf Firefighter candidate Joseph McAsey. Motion carried 5-0. American Public Works Association (APWA) Accreditation Chief Baker provided an update on the Lateral Entry and Entry Level Police Officer Commission on Fire Accreditation recruitment processes. To date, 42 applications have been requested and three have International (CFA)) been submitted. Of the three, one candidate was identified as eligible for consideration. Gold Level Clean Air Counts With regard to the Entry Level process, the launch date is scheduled for April 24, 2023 Community and the examination date of June 24, 2023. There are presently three vacant positions. Government Finance Officers Association Budget Award Chief Baker also stated the Police Department has designated a Police Recruiter who is Government Finance Officers engaged in sourcing, identifying, and recruiting potential candidates interested in public Association Certificate of safety careers. He further stated the Police Department leaders will meet to address Achievement for Excellence In Financial Reporting responsibilities should the candidate pool be significantly limited. Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation (ILEAP) The Board Commissioners sent condolences to the widow of Firefighter Andrew Cutting, Insurance Services Office (ISO) Mrs. Karla Cutting, expressing their sincere sympathy in the loss of her husband. Class One Fire Department State of Illinois Certified Health Chief Hoeflich stated seven Entry Level Firefighter candidates were scheduled for Department interviews during the Executive Session of the meeting and the Village is in the process Tree City U.S.A. Distinction of planning the launch of a Fire Lieutenant promotional process. The current Fire Lieutenant promotional eligibility list expires July 18, 2023. Commissioner Rottner, seconded by Commissioner Soco, made a motion to move into Executive Session.
