The Ralph Klein Alison PureSlovin following Commissioners were in attendance: Nicole Potthast, Bruce Rottner, Keith A, Robinson Ferdinand Soco, and Vice Chair Helene Levine. Board Chair Willard Evans was not EdieSueSutker present. Also present were Police Chief Brian Baker, Fire Chief Jeffrey Hoefiich and Manager JohnT.Lockerby Counsel Michael M. Large Board Secretary Debra Stinson. Commissioner Rottner made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Potthast to approve the Minutes of the June 20, 2023 Regular Meeting as written. Motion carried 4-0. Awards and Distinctions The Board reviewed a memorandum presented by Chief Baker announcing the American Public Works Association retirement of Officer Gerald Klamerus. Commissioner Rottner made a motion, (APWA) Accreditation seconded by Commissioner Potthast to accept the resignation of Officer Gerald Commission on Fire Accreditation Klamerus. Motion carried 4-0. International (CFAI) Gold Level Clean Air Counts Chief Baker provided an update on the Lateral Entry and Entry Level Police Officer Community recruitment processes. To date, 86 applications have been requested for Lateral Entry Government Finance Officers Association Budget Award Police Officer and one candidate has been scheduled to meet with Police personnel as a part of the vetting process. Chief Baker further stated the department is looking to hire Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of six Laterai Entry candidates and he requested that 10 to 12 candidates be sent for Achievement for Excellence in polygraphs. With regard to the Entry Level Police Officer recruitment process, 60 Financial Reporting candidates were deemed eligible to sit for the examination, 36 candidates actually tested Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation (ILEAP) and the Entry Level Eligibility List effective July 17, 2023 consists of 33 candidates. . Insurance Services Office (ISO) Class One Fire Department Chief Hoeflich announced the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will conduct Fire State of Illinois Certified Health Lieutenant Promotional Process interviews for 20 candidates, as one candidate Department withdrew from the promotion process. Candidate interviews were rescheduled for Tree City U.S.A. Distinction August 28-30, 2023 at Village Hall. At 5:10 pm, Commissioner Rottner, seconded by Commissioner Potthast, made a motion to move into Executive Session.
