motion, seconded by Commissioner Rottner to approve the Minutes of the May 20,
Counsel Michael M. Large 2024, Regular Meeting. Motion carried 5 -0.
Chief Barnes presented memoranda announcing the retirements of Police Sergeant
Michael Hartnett and Police Sergeant Thomas Wojdyfa. In addition, Chief Barnes
presented a memorandum announcing the resignation of probationary Police
Awards and Distinctions Officer Abishai Ghosh. The Board extended congratulations to Sergeants Hartnett
American Public Works Association and Wojdyla and wished them well in their retirement years. The Board questioned
(APWA) Accreditation
if there was an opportunity to retain Officer Ghosh, but Chief Barnes stated the
Commission on Fire Accreditation
International (CFAI) Department made attempts to do so without success. The Board accepted Officer
Gold Level Qean Air Counts Abishai Ghosh's resignation from the position of probationary Police Officer and
Community wished him success in his future endeavors.
