MINUTES of a regular meeting of the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Skokie, Cook County, Illinois held in the Council Chambers at 5127 Oakton Street at 8
p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015
Pledge of Allegiance led by Village Clerk Pramod Shah.
The Clerk called the Roll. Those present were Roberts, Sutker, Bromberg, Klein, Gray-Keeler
and Mayor Van Dusen. Trustee Ulrich was not present

Report of the Village Manager.
A. Adoption of the FY2016 Budget, Water Rate, Food and Beverage Tax and Building
Permit Fees.
The General Fund for FY2016 equates to $55,405,770. There is an increase of 1.2% over the
FY2015 Budget. All funds total $119,813,129. Recommendations include a water rate increase of
4.9%, a Food and Beverage Tax of 2% and a $1.50 increase in the Building permit fees.
Motion to adopt the FY20216 Budget, Water rate, Food and Beverage Tax and Building permit
Fees.

Motion to adopt an ordinance establishing the compensation of the Village Manager, Deputy
Village Clerk, Corporation Counsel and Assistant Corporation Counsels of the Village of Skokie.

Motion to adopt an ordinance granting a special use permit to establish and operate an
automotive repair facility at 3706 Oakton Street, Skokie, Illinois in an M2 Industry district

Motion to adopt an ordinance amending the zoning map with regard to the property located at

E. An ordinance amending Chapter 10, Article I, Section 10-3, Article II, Sections 10-33, 10-40,
10-63 and 10-64 and Chapter 46, Article III, Section 46-80, of the Skokie Village Code
pertaining to the retail sale of alcoholic liquor and related fees. This item is on the agenda for
first reading and will be on the July 6, 2015 agenda for second reading and adoption.
F. An ordinance determining the prevailing rate of wages pursuant to the Prevailing Wage
Statute. This item is on the agenda for first reading and will be on the July 6, 2015 agenda for
second reading and adoption.
