12949 MINUTES of a regular meeting of the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Skokie, Cook County, Illinois held in the Council Chambers at 5127 Oakton Street at 8 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 Pledge of Allegiance led by Village Clerk Pramod Shah. The Clerk called the Roll. Those present were Roberts, Sutker, Klein, Gray-Keeler and Mayor Van Dusen. Trustees Ulrich and Bromberg were not present. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda. Presentation: The Community Giving Program by Maureen Murphy, Skokie Human Services Director Director of the Skokie Human Services Murphy gave background information of the Community Giving Program. It is a program designed to assist Skokie families with limited financial resources that might not otherwise be able to celebrate winter holidays. Families receive gift certificates for area businesses which they use to purchase holiday food and to buy items specific to each family member's needs and wants. Mayor Van Dusen invited everyone to the Thanksgiving Interfaith Service at St. Joan of Arc on Wednesday November 25th at 7:30 p.m. Report of the Village Manager. A. No Report. Plan Commission Case 2015-34P – Special Use Permit: 9353 Skokie Boulevard Motion to concur with the Plan Commission that the petitioner’s request for a special use permit for a 2-lane drive-through facility at a bank in a B3 Business zoning district be approved subject to all conditions. Robert Katzman, 4906 Oakton spoke about his store closing for a month due to medical issues. He also spoke about a problem he was having with ComEd and the electricity at his store. Mayor Van Dusen stated that the Village will look into the problem.
