12967 MINUTES of a regular meeting of the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Skokie, Cook County, Illinois held in the Council Chambers at 5127 Oakton Street at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 Pledge of Allegiance led by Village Clerk Pramod Shah. The Clerk called the Roll. Those present were Roberts, Sutker, Ulrich, Klein, and Mayor Van Dusen. Trustees Bromberg and Gray-Keeler were not present. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda with removal of Item A on the Corporation’s Counsel report. Moved: Trustee Klein Seconded: Trustee Sutker Ayes: Roberts, Sutker, Ulrich, Klein, and Mayor Van Dusen Nays: None. Absent: Bromberg, Gray-Keeler MOTION CARRIED * Approve, as submitted, minutes of regular meeting held Monday, January 4, 2016. Omnibus vote. * Approve Voucher List #17 -FY16 of January 19, 2016. Resolution 16-1-R-1315 Motion to approve a Resolution authorizing the Village to execute the Local Agency agreement for the Old Orchard Road shared-use path (Skokie Boulevard to Gross Point Road) Moved: Trustee Ulrich Seconded: Trustee Roberts Ayes: Roberts, Sutker, Ulrich, Klein, and Mayor Van Dusen Nays: None. Absent: Bromberg, Gray-Keeler MOTION CARRIED * B. Police Department Gas Masks Purchase – Pro-Tech Sales, Berea, Ohio - $34,734. Motion to approve a contract to Pro-Tech Sales, Berea, OH in the amount of $34,734 for police department gas mask purchase. Motion to approve the request for an Executive Session pursuant to Section 2,Paragraph C.5 and C.6 of the State of Illinois Open Meetings Act at the end of the regular meeting and to adjourn therefrom. A An ordinance amending Chapter 22, Article VI, of the Skokie Village Code pertaining to amendments to the 2014 Illinois Plumbing Code. FIRST READING: B. An ordinance approving a plat of dedication for property located at 7941 Lincoln Avenue, Skokie, Illinois in a CX Core Mixed-Use district. This item is on the agenda for first reading and will be on the February 1, 2016 agenda for second reading and adoption. C. An ordinance approving a plat of dedication for property located at 7947 Lincoln Avenue, Skokie, Illinois in a CX Core Mixed-Use district. This item is on the agenda for first reading and will be on the February 1, 2016 agenda for second reading and adoption. New Business. Zoning Board of Appeals Case 2015-14Z: Front Yard Parking – 8052 Crawford Avenue Motion to concur with the Zoning Board of Appeals to deny the request to maintain a driveway in a front yard based upon the Negative Findings of Fact. Dolphin Shaoul and Anthony Yoseph, contractor from AA-Anthony’s Inc. answered questions from the Board. Moved: Trustee Klein Seconded: Trustee Roberts Ayes: Roberts, Sutker, Ulrich, Klein, and Mayor Van Dusen Nays: None. Absent: Bromberg, Gray-Keeler. MOTION CARRIED Plan Commission. Chairman Paul Luke presented the Plan Commission Cases. A. Plan Commission Case 2015-48P – Street Vacation: Long Avenue between Woods Drive and Golf Road. Motion to concur with the Plan Commission that the petitioner’s request for the vacation of the remaining portion of Long Avenue between Woods Drive and Golf Rd be approved subject to all conditions. Moved: Trustee Sutker Seconded: Trustee Ulrich Ayes: Roberts, Sutker, Ulrich, Klein, and Mayor Van Dusen Nays: None. Plan Commission Case 2015-49P – Site Plan Approval: 9603 and 9626 Woods Drive Motion to concur with the Plan Commission to grant the requested site plan approval ordinance amendment and to grant relief for the second requested ground sign facing Golf Road subject to all conditions. Howard Swibel, Trustee of the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center answered questions from the Board.
